This year, the act of reception organized by the municipality to welcome the City to the participants, partners, media and sponsors of the Air Festival "City of Gijón" was held in the old platforms of Railway Museum, to vary over years occurred earlier in the Pueblo de Asturias. 

As in the past, after the speech welcome from the Mayor of Gijón Doña Paz Fernández Felgueroso and the representative of the entity Cajastur financial, Don Cesar Menendez Claverol, both City of Gijon, as the co-sponsor the event, CAJASTUR had a custom detailed memory for participants who were calling one to one for delivery and being answered, mainly because military members of the patrols, both Spanish and French (Rafale fighter crew) mainly as the photographic pictures patrol flight action. 

At the end of this installment the mayor of Gijón, Paz Fernández Felgueroso, gave witness to the President of Aeronautical Circle Jesús Fernández Duro de La Felguera initiator in 2006 of these airshows in Gijón for this association dedicated to the study, research and dissemination of aeronautical science make his own Eagle Patrol tribute to whom José David Vigil Escalera, president of the Association, presented to the Chief Eagle Patrol, Comte. Bayardo Alvarez-Buiza Abós, a sculpture bust of the first civilian pilot, as aerostero case because aviation had not yet appeared in Europe, in the presence of Colonel Director complacent of the General Air Academy, Juan Antonio Ortega Vazquez, whose institution is part of the Patrol. The Chief Eagle Patrol after a few words of praise Circle to the work of Air and its chairman, the latter presented him to the Association, in a box
