Historic aircraft to the Revillagigedo

The Museum of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIR MUSEUM) the Air Force in Cuatro Vientos (Madrid) to assign static display in the CAJASTUR Square cultural complex "Palacio Revillagigedo" of Gijón during the days leading up to V Festival Air "City of Gijón", two of the most significant aircraft the Spanish aviation history, as it were two-seaters of pilot training, between 50 and 70 of the last century, both as a propeller-driven jet.

THE NORTH AMERICAN T-6 "TEXAN"

U.S. plane cantilever low-wing monoplane, based in the North-American Na-16, designed by Lee Atwood and James Kindelberger, made its maiden flight in April 1935. Used to combat in World War II France, Great Britain, USA and Canada since 1941, was excellent for the training of pilots, as well as support for ground troops in the wars in Korea, Algeria and Angola . After the experience with the HA 100 "Triana", propeller, it was decided to build the first reactor of the Spanish aeronautical industry, based on the design of the famous German engineer Willy Messerschmitt, with the collaboration of the Spanish Figueroa, Rubio, Somoza and Chambers. The first flight took place on August 12, 1955. In 1958 was approved by INTA. It was a twin-engine subsonic tandem two-seater cabin. Following its success, they decided to build a first series of ten units. The first aircraft flew standard in October 1962 and entered service in the Air Force. It produced a total of 110 units.
